SITE CREATORS, MODERATORS, & DEVELOPMENT
 |
Jeff
Kinder -
(Site creator, Site Development, Site Moderator) Jeff
started the site back in August of 1997 with intent to keep the memory of laser disc games
alive. He wanted to bring back the good memories for those who
used to play Dragon's Lair and to educate the younger generation who
were not able to play these wonderful games when they ruled the arcades
in the early 80's. Some of the pages that Jeff has worked on are
the Dragon's Lair
Scoring Chart, the
Dragon's Lair Prototype
Page, the
Space Ace DIP Switch Remap ROM and the
Dragon's
Lair / Space Ace Combo ROMs. |
 |
Dave
Hallock -
(Site Development, Site Moderator) Dave is the creator of the
Dragon's Lair Enhancement ROMs
and the
Space Ace Enhancement ROMs,
which are excellent additions to each of the
games. These
ROM sets enhance the gameplay of the arcade version of Dragon's Lair and
Space Ace by
utilizing the laser disc's full potential.
Dave has
also
worked on the
Space Ace DIP Switch Remap ROM and the
Dragon's
Lair / Space Ace Combo ROMs. Some of the pages that Dave has worked on are the
Dragon's Lair
Scene Sequencing page, the
Ultimate Dragon's Lair Moves List,
and the
Dragon's
Lair Tech Page. Dave also co-authored the
Hacking Around The Lair
page. |
 |
Chip Sbrogna -
(Site Development, Site Moderator) Chip heads up the design and development of the
New LaserArchive section of the D-L-P.
Look for it coming very soon! |
 |
Matteo Marioni -
(Site Development) Matteo Marioni has brought a wealth of
information to the Dragon's Lair Project. Manuals, schematics, dip
switch settings, ROMs, pictures, and general information are just a few of the many
things that Matteo has supplied. He is the author of the
Euro Dragon's lair laserdisc player
conversion and contributed to many other tech pages of the site, such as
the 68705 bypass modification
and American Laser Games RAM /
ROM board info. |
SITE CODING
 |
Brian Jones -
Brian has brought excellent features to the Dragon's Lair Project such as
the redesigned
Laser Disc Game Message Board.
Officially brought online on 01.01.05, the Message Board continues to be the
focal point of the Dragon's Lair Project website. Brian also added
many key features to the
Laser Disc Game Collectors
page. |
ADVISORY PANEL
Our Advisory Panel is made up of D-L-P staff members and DAPHNE developers who, combined, have an
extensive knowledge in every aspect of laser disc gaming.
-
Warren
Ondras - One of Warren's awesome documents is called
the
Thayer's Quest Keyboard Emulator. This allows a person to play
Thayer's Quest without having the ultra-rare keyboard required for
gameplay. Warren has been a top contributor of ROM images and
supplies the Message Board with tons of technical info, helping those in
need. Warren also works closely with Matt Ownby on the
DAPHNE emulator.
-
Matt
Ownby -
Matt Ownby
is the creator of the
DAPHNE
emulator. His dedication to the
DAPHNE Emulator has brought Dragon's Lair and many other rare laser
disc games into the homes of many
people who
probably would have never been able to see these games again. Matt's work
on the Dragon's Lair Project includes great hacking pages like the Cliff Hanger Unlimited Lives hack
and many others. Matt also co-authored the
Hacking
Around The Lair page.
-
Jeff
Kulczycki -
Jeff Kulczycki,
sometimes referred to on the message board as Jeff K. (not kinder), is
the creator of the
emuLaser
emulator and the
LaserCom
1000. The emuLaser is an excellent Dragon's Lair
and Space Ace emulator that emulates all of the hardware in Dragon's
Lair / Space Ace from
the z80 microprocessor and the AY-3-8910 Sound Chip to the score board,
joystick sounds, and the coin slots. Jeff has assisted Dave
Hallock with the
Dragon's Lair Enhancement ROMs and the
Space
Ace Enhancement ROMs. He has also worked with Matt Ownby and
the guys on the DAPHNE emulator. Jeff's work on the Dragon's
Lair Project includes excellent technical pages like the
Dragon's Lair Board Conversion
page, the
DL/SA Engineering Mode page,
and the
Dragon's Lair
Initialization page. His most recent projects were
the
Space Ace DIP Switch Remap ROM and the
Dragon's
Lair / Space Ace Combo ROMs.
D-L-P ALUMNI
Our Alumni is made up of D-L-P staff
members and/or DAPHNE developers, who have moved on, but made a huge impact on
the D-L-P site in it's early days.
-
Carlo
Angelicola -
Carlo Angelicola has developed
a few awesome features for the Dragon's Lair Project website. His
first project was the
Laser Disc Game Registry,
which allows us to keep track of who owns which laser disc games.
Carlo's other projects were the
D-L-P Quick-Vote and the
Laser Disc
Game Classifieds page. Now all commerce related traffic is off
the message board and in it's own separate place. Carlo's latest project is the total redesign of the
Laser Disc Game Collectors
page. This new page allows users to showcase their laser
disc game collection and serve as THE database for all laser disc games and
corresponding parts.
-
Joe
Ross -
Joe
Ross has brought excellent features to the Dragon's Lair Project such as the
original D-L-P
Guest
book and the original
Laser Disc Game Message Board. Joe's
message board went online on 03/14/99 and was decommissioned on 12/31/04
when the new message board, designed by Brian Jones (a.k.a. pr0k), went
online. The Message Board has been the most popular page on
the Dragon's Lair Project.
-
Robert
DiNapoli -
Robert
DiNapoli can be referred to as "Lair Hacker Extraordinaire".
Rob's work includes pages like the
Dragon's Lair LD Conversion,
the
Cliff
Hanger LD Conversion, the
Dragon's Lair II LD Conversion, and
the
Dragon's Lair II
PC Conversion. Rob also created the
Hacking Around the
Lair II page, co-authored the
Hacking Around The Lair
page and was instrumental in the creation of the
DAPHNE Emulator.
-
Andrew
Hepburn -
Andrew took Rob DiNapoli's
Dragon's Lair
II PC Conversion one step further by making it compatible with the first pressing
of the Dragon's Lair II disc. Andrew has also put together some
info on command sets for different laser disc players and was a major
contributor to the Virtual Library. Andrew's last project,
the PR-8210A Conversion, is
a document that allows a person to convert a common Pioneer PR-8210
laser disc player into the 8210A, which is required for Star Rider.
-
Jim
Bickmann -
Jim
Bickmann has been one of the largest contributors. He has brought
countless amounts of pictures and information to the site. Some of
the pages that Jim has worked on are the
Laser Disc Merchandise
page, the
Cube Quest page, the
Cops page, the
Fire Fox
page, and the
Star Rider page.
Jim was a writer for
GameRoom Magazine and has some of his articles like
Starcade and
Dragon's Lair showcased on the D-L-P. Jim was also instrumental in
the creation of the
Dragon's Lair Prototype page.
-
Tony Dailey - Tony Dailey has brought a wealth of information to the
Dragon's Lair Project. Manuals, schematics, dip switch settings, flyers,
and cabinet pictures are a few of the many things that Tony has supplied. Tony created the
Laser Disc Game Virtual Library pages which can be found on most
of the tech pages for each game.
These Virtual Library pages have information and pictures of ALL hardware items
for
any given laser disc game. Tony's flyers and cabinet pictures can
be seen in the Laser Games section and the manuals, schematics, and
dip switch settings can be found in the
Tech Center.
